Presently, we have an unprecedented three classes in the
Police Academy, with one of those classes scheduled for graduation shortly.
It is important that we all remember that their training does not end
upon graduation. I am depending on
all Supervisors to continue their training.
With your help, these officers who are the future of this department, can
continue to uphold the standard of public service we have all worked so hard to
achieve. Our department is known
nationwide for its professionalism and expertise and with your guidance these
officers will continue to uphold this Department’s outstanding reputation.
Over the past month, I have had the opportunity to congratulate many SOA members at our celebration ceremonies for their heroic acts and their long time public service. You are all true assets to the department and I would like to once again congratulate and thank you for all of your hard work and dedication.
Additionally, I look forward to further promotions in the near future and would like to advise you that the SOA contract is currently working its way through the system and will hopefully be resolved soon.
In closing, I would like to urge all department members to take advantage of the nicer weather by interacting with the communities in which we serve. The knowledge we gain and the relationships we foster can be very useful to this department as we continue to serve and protect the residents of Nassau County.
Best wishes to you all for continued success.
